THE HOUR HAS COME
¹ For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: Eccl. 3:1

On Saturday September 3^rd, 2011, I shall commence a weekly Bible Teaching in Lagos called KINGDOM LIFE SEMINARS under the auspices of LIFE LINK WORLDWIDE MINISTRIES. This vision has been quietly incubating for nearly forty years.

There may be a few who would wonder – Why has it taken you so long? King Solomon provided the answer when he wrote in Ecclesiastes   chapter three verse one, that there is a time and a season for everything under the sun. Our times are always in God’s hands and He alone can flag us off on something He has called us to do in the world.

What exactly is KINGDOM LIFE SEMINARS all about? The vision is to know God through a Spirit driven revelation of the Word of God. The prophet Jeremiah revealed that not only does the Almighty want us to know Him, He also wants those who know Him to boast about it.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NRSV)
²³ Thus says the LORD: Do not let the wise boast in their wisdom, do not let the mighty boast in their might, do not let the wealthy boast in their wealth; ²⁴ but let those who boast boast in this, that they understand and know me, that I am the LORD; I act with steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, says the LORD.

When the prophet says “for in these things I delight, says the LORD,” he reveals that the pursuit of the knowledge of God by man will definitely delight the heart of God. Through Kingdom Life Seminars, we would be praying that God will raise a generation of Christians that deeply desire to know their God and together we would pray and search His Word until our lives are totally controlled by the Holy Spirit of God who alone can reveal God and Christ to us.

The passion that will drive KLS is quite simple: GOD BECAME A MAN SO THAT MAN CAN BECOME LIKE GOD ON EARTH. It is only through the knowledge of God and His Christ can our lives be transformed and empowered to live the God kind of life here on earth.

In the Old Testament we see the Almighty God giving Moses His reason for bringing Israel out of slavery:

Exodus 19:4-6 (NKJV)
⁴ 'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself. ⁵ Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. ⁶ And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."

When God became a man in Christ, He came to do two major things: First was to save us from all our sins. Second was to model the God kind of life so that we can see and know that it is possible for man to live like God on the earth by living like Jesus.

Our purpose is to focus on the Man Jesus so that as we behold Him, we would be transformed into His likeness from glory to glory. The Bible gives us great hope in this pursuit:

1 John 3:2-3 (NLT)
² Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. ³ And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.

Indeed we are assured that we would never be quite like Him until we see Him face to face. But while He continues to delay His return we are taught through the pursuit of inner purity to progressively be transformed into His likeness.

The twin pursuit of inner purity and love is the way to behold Him who knew no sin while He was here on earth. The more we are able to behold Him, the more like Him we would become:

¹⁸ And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit helps us to see Him more clearly so we can follow Him more nearly and more steadily. This is what will open heaven over our lives and infuse us with the inner strength we need to truly represent Him here on earth.

I invite you to come and join us in this pursuit. Bring your friends and your family along. Kingdom Life Seminars is about building a people for God not building a denomination or church. This is why it is conducted under Life Link Worldwide Ministries and the seminars will be holding every Saturday from 7 am – 9 am except the last Saturday of the month.

Here is the topic of our very first meditation: GOD IS LIGHT AND IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL. There is something we know about light. It helps us see things clearly. The more light we have, the clearer we can see. When the light we have is powerful we can see far ahead and all around. Think of it – darkness can be very frightening until light comes to show us that there is really nothing to fear but there may be things to avoid so we do not quench our light and so have our world plunged into darkness again.

We plan to seek God early like David. (Psalm 5:3, 55:17, 88:13, 119:147) and like David by the grace of God, we shall find Him and enter into His rest in our lives to His glory. And if perchance you are unable to be with us physically, then be with us in Spirit for we have offered KLS to God as a tool to expand His kingdom and to glorify His name on the earth, Amen.
